“…that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
(Galatians 3:14 NKJV)

Yesterday, I mentioned that access to the blessings of Abraham has been given to all by faith. However, to manifest these blessings, there are certain acts of faith we must engage in. In today’s Call to Prayer, I will share one of these vital acts of faith.

In the Old Covenant, the law of sin and death was operational. Although blessings were available to the Israelites, they were still dependent on their works. But in the New Covenant, the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:2) is what operates. This law is not based on works, but on faith expressed through our confession. As long as our confession aligns with the finished work of Christ, grace is released for us to manifest His blessings.

For example, to experience the blessing of healing in Christ, all we need to do is confess: “By the stripes of Jesus Christ we were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). The same is true concerning provision. When we confess that “Jesus Christ became poor so that we might be rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9), grace is made available for us to manifest that dimension of blessing. Abraham demonstrated this when Isaac asked about the lamb for sacrifice. His confession was, “The Lord will provide” (Genesis 22:8). And indeed, the Lord provided (Genesis 22:13–14).

Even our salvation came when we confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior. In the same way, to manifest the blessings of salvation, we must confess them. As scripture says: “He has said, so we may boldly say” (Hebrews 13:6). This reveals that when we speak in line with God’s word, we position ourselves to see its manifestation.

Faith in the heart is powerful, but it produces results only when it is professed. Keep speaking in line with what God has done for us in Christ, and grace will surely be given to manifest His blessings. Tomorrow, I will share another act of faith needed to manifest His blessings. Stay tuned.

Prayer Points

  1. Let’s thank God for His Word today.
  2. Let’s ask Him to help us keep our confession aligned with His will for us in Christ Jesus.
