Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: โ€œWhom shall I send, and who will go for Us?โ€
Then I said, โ€œHere am I! Send me.โ€

(Isaiah 6:8 NKJV)

In Isaiah chapter 6, the prophet shares a powerful vision of Godโ€™s glory. He saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Around Him stood the seraphim crying, โ€œHoly, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; the whole earth is full of His glory!โ€ Overwhelmed by Godโ€™s holiness, Isaiah became aware of his own sinfulness and cried out, โ€œWoe is me, for I am undone!โ€ (Isaiah 6:5).

Then, one of the seraphim flew to him with a live coal from the altar and touched his lips, declaring that his sin was taken away and his guilt was purged. It was after Isaiah was cleansed that he heard the voice of the Lord saying, โ€œWhom shall I send, and who will go for Us?โ€ Without hesitation, Isaiah responded, โ€œHere am I, send me.โ€

This passage reminds us that God is still looking for willing heartsโ€”men and women who will stand for Him, who will carry His message to a broken and lost world. Before Isaiah could be sent, he had to be cleansed. Likewise, before God can use us, He must first purify us. Our weaknesses, failures, and sins do not disqualify us; instead, they remind us of our constant need for His mercy and cleansing.

The Lordโ€™s call was not directed to Isaiah aloneโ€”it echoes to every believer today. God is still asking, โ€œWhom shall I send?โ€ Will you make yourself available to Him? He is not looking for perfect people, but for obedient and willing vessels through whom He can display His power and love.

Sometimes, we hesitate because we feel inadequate or unqualified. But the truth is, God does not call the qualifiedโ€”He qualifies those He calls. When you surrender your life to Him, He will equip you, guide you, and empower you to fulfill His purpose.

Beloved in the Lord, let us not wait for perfect conditions before saying โ€œyesโ€ to the Lord. If He is calling you to serve in any capacityโ€”whether in your family, church, or workplaceโ€”respond like Isaiah: โ€œHere am I, Lord. Send me.โ€

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask the Lord to cleanse and prepare our hearts so that we can be ready and willing vessels for His Kingdom.

God bless you all.
