Title: Crowned With His Goodness

โYou crown the year with Your goodness, and Your paths drip with abundance.โ
(Psalm 65:11 NKJV)
ย
There is a story of a farmer who worked tirelessly throughout the year. He planted his seeds, watered the ground, removed weeds, and waited patiently through the changing seasons. Some days the sun was too hot, other days the rain delayed his plans, and at times it seemed like nothing was happening beneath the soil. Yet when harvest time came, the field was filled with abundance. Looking back, he realised that every season had a purpose, and the final outcome was far greater than the struggle he endured along the way.
In Psalm 65, David looks back over the year and does not focus on the battles, the dry seasons, or the uncertainties he faced. Instead, he recognises the hand of God at work from beginning to end. He declares that God crowns the year with His goodness. This tells us that our lives are not guided by chance or luck, but by a faithful God who oversees every season. Even when we do not understand what He is doing, His goodness is still present.
To crown something means to bring it to completion with honour and beauty. God does not abandon us halfway through the year or halfway through our journey. He finishes what He starts. The same God who carried you through the difficult months is the God who places His goodness upon the outcome. What may have looked like a delay was preparation, and what felt like loss was often protection.
David also says that Godโs paths drip with abundance (Ps 65:11). Wherever God walks, blessing follows. This abundance is not limited to material things alone, but includes peace in troubled times, strength in weakness, wisdom in confusion, and hope when all seems lost. When we follow Godโs path, even through valleys and deserts, we can trust that His provision will meet us there.
Beloved in the Lord, no matter how this year has looked for you, remember that God is still at work. Your struggles have not cancelled His promises, and your delays have not stopped His plan. If you have walked with Him, He will surely crown your year with His goodness. Trust Him, give thanks, and step into the next season with confidence, knowing that His paths still drip with abundance.
Prayer Point:
Letโs thank God for His faithfulness throughout every season of our lives. Letโs ask Him to help us recognise His goodness even in difficult times and to trust Him completely as He leads us into seasons of abundance and fulfilment according to His will.
God bless you all!
