Go therefore and make disciples of all the nationsโ€ฆ
(Matthew 28:19 NKJV)

A man of God once met someone during a very ordinary moment โ€” a short conversation that seemed insignificant at the time. They spoke about life, work, and the challenges we all face. Before they parted ways, he felt a gentle nudge in his heart to share a word about Christ. It was not a long sermon, just a simple testimony of what Jesus means to him. Months later, he learned that this small moment planted a seed that later led that person to seek God more seriously. That encounter reminded him of an important truth: God often uses ordinary moments to accomplish eternal purposes.

When Jesus gave the Great Commission, He did not limit it to pastors, missionaries, or church leaders. He spoke to all His followers. The command to preach the Gospel and make disciples is not optional; it is central to our calling as believers (Matt 28:19). Every conversation, every relationship, every opportunity can become a platform for the Gospel if we are sensitive and willing.

The Bible clearly teaches us that we are living in the last days (2 Tim 3:1). Scripture tells us that the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ is drawing nearer than ever before. Signs are unfolding all around us โ€” in the world, in societies, and even within the Church. This is not a time for fear, but a time for urgency. The harvest is ripe, and souls are waiting for the message of salvation.

God continues to open doors โ€” at our workplaces, in our families, in schools, neighbourhoods, and even online spaces (1 Cor 16:9). Some of these doors may look small or insignificant, but heaven sees them as opportunities for eternal impact. The question is not whether opportunities exist, but whether we are willing to step through them with boldness, love, and wisdom.

Preaching the Gospel does not always mean standing on a pulpit. Sometimes it means living a Christ-like life that speaks louder than words (Matt 5:16). Sometimes it means praying for someone in pain, sharing your testimony, inviting someone to church, or simply pointing a weary soul to the hope found in Jesus Christ. Every seed planted in faith can bear fruit in Godโ€™s perfect time.

Beloved in the Lord, this year let us be intentional and spiritually alert. Let us redeem the time, knowing that the days are evil and the return of our Lord is imminent. Do not postpone obedience. Do not silence the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Use every opportunity God gives you to preach the Gospel and make disciples. May our lives reflect Christ so clearly that others are drawn to Him through us.

Prayer Point:

Let us thank God for the opportunities He places before us each day. Let us ask for boldness, wisdom, and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit to recognise and use every open door for the Gospel.

God bless you all!
