The name of Jesus is not just a word we say in prayer—it carries power and authority. The Bible shows us that lives changed when people believed in His name.

When Peter saw a lame man at the temple, he said, “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6). Immediately, the man was healed. It wasn’t Peter’s strength—it was the power in Jesus’ name.

The name of Jesus saves, delivers, and gives victory. “There is no other name… by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12). When you feel afraid, confused, or weak, call on His name. It is a strong tower and a safe place (Proverbs 18:10).

When David faced Goliath, he did not rely on weapons alone. He declared, “I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts” (1 Samuel 17:45). Victory came not by human strength, but by divine authority. In the same way, believers today overcome not by their own power, but through the name of Jesus.

The name of Jesus is our refuge in trouble, our confidence in prayer, and our authority in spiritual battles. When fear rises, call on His name. When you are weak, pray in His name. When you face opposition, stand in His name.
“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” — Proverbs 18:10

Don’t use the name of Jesus casually. Use it with faith. There is real power in His name.

Let’s thank God for His word. Let’s ask God to help us trust in the power of His name. Let’s ask God to teach us to call on Him in faith every day. Amen.
