Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
(Philippians 1:6 NKJV)

ย

A craftsman once began building a beautiful piece of furniture. In its early stages, it looked rough, unfinished, and far from impressive. Those who saw it midway could not fully understand its value. But the craftsman never abandoned his work. With patience, precision, and commitment, he continued shaping it until it became a masterpiece. In the same way, our lives in Christ are often in processโ€”unfinished, yet firmly in the hands of a faithful God (Isa 64:8).

The word of God expressed deep confidenceโ€”not in our perfection, but in Godโ€™s faithfulness. It reminds us that the Christian life is not initiated by human effort, but by divine Grace. God Himself is the One who begins the good work within us (Eph 2:8โ€“10). From the moment of salvation, He starts a transforming work in our hearts, shaping us into the image of Christ (Rom 8:29).

This truth is both comforting and reassuring. There are times when we may feel discouraged by our weaknesses, slow progress, or repeated struggles. Yet the word reminds us that God does not abandon His work midway. What He starts, He is committed to completing (Num 23:19). Even when we do not see visible progress, God is still at work behind the scenes, refining, pruning, and strengthening us (Jn 15:2).

The promise continues โ€œuntil the day of Jesus Christ,โ€ pointing to the ultimate completion of our transformation. This means that our growth is a lifelong journey. Day by day, God is working in usโ€”shaping our character, renewing our minds, and aligning our lives with His purpose (2 Cor 4:16). One day, when Christ returns, that work will be perfected in glory (1 Jn 3:2).

This assurance should fill our hearts with hope and perseverance. We may not be where we desire to be, but we are not where we used to beโ€”and God is not finished with us yet. Our responsibility is to remain yielded, trusting Him through every stage of the process (Prov 3:5โ€“6).

Beloved in the Lord, let us take courage in the faithfulness of God. When doubts arise and progress seems slow, remember that the Master Builder is still at work. Your life is in His hands, and He will bring His purpose to completion.

Prayer Point:

Let us thank God for the work He has begun in our lives. Let us ask Him for grace to trust His process, remain steadfast in faith, and cooperate with His transforming work until the day of Christ.

God bless you all!
