Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5โ€“6

Put your trust fully in God and allow Him to take the lead in your life. When you surrender control to Him, you exchange confusion for direction and anxiety for peace. God sees the end from the beginningโ€”He knows the path you should take even when you donโ€™t.

โ€œTrust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.โ€ (Proverbs 3:5โ€“6)

Think of life like a journey in a car. Many times, we want to sit in the driverโ€™s seatโ€”making our own decisions, choosing our own routes, and rushing ahead. But trusting God means stepping aside and letting Him drive. He knows the safest roads, the hidden dangers, and the right timing. Even when the journey feels slow or uncertain, His direction is always perfect.

Putting your trust in people alone can lead to disappointment. Humans are limitedโ€”they can fail, change, or misunderstand. But God is constant and faithful.

โ€œCursed is the one who trusts in manโ€ฆ but blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.โ€ (Jeremiah 17:5,7)
You may rely on a friend, colleague, or even a leader to come through for youโ€”and sometimes they donโ€™t. Plans fall through, promises are broken, and expectations are unmet. It hurts, but it reminds us of a deeper truth: people are not meant to carry the weight of your trustโ€”God is.

This doesnโ€™t mean we shouldnโ€™t value relationships, but our ultimate confidence must be in God, not in man.

โ€œIt is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.โ€ (Psalm 118:8)

When you trust God, you wonโ€™t be shaken by peopleโ€™s inconsistencies. Your hope becomes anchored in someone who never fails.

Trusting God is not just a statementโ€”it is a daily decision to rely on Him, obey Him, and believe Him, even when things donโ€™t make sense.
