The Lord looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God

– Psalm 14:2ย

Constantly, God is watching over us! Isnโ€™t it a great revelation to know that someone is watching over you; not only that, this person in question is seeking for your attention! God is willing to build a strong bond with us, that is the reason why He made His only begotten Son to be the gateway to Him! Such a great privilege has not yet been recorded. We ( the children of God) are so special that He calls us His very own!ย  ( 2 Timothy 1:10 ).

But most at times when working for the Lord, because we arenโ€™t seeing results or getting a confirmation as fast as we want, we tend to think that He isnโ€™t seeing us at all.

Let us look at the story of Cornelius, a commander in the Italian Regiment of the Roman military, who lived in Caesarea. His story in Acts 10 is important because it was in Corneliusโ€™sย  household that God publicly opened the doors of the church to the Gentile world.ย  Despite being a Roman, Cornelius was a worshiper of God. He was a devout man who regularly prayed and gave to the charity. Now if Cornelius would have given up his daily devotion and kindness to the needy just because he wasnโ€™t seeing any sign of recognition from God, there wouldnโ€™tย  have been an open door for the Gentiles to be saved in his time. There must be someone sacrificing His time for the revelation of Christ to be fulfilled on earth. (Matthew 9:37)

God is watching! He is searching for the heart that seeks Him alone.Yes, the heart that seeks Him! If we work for God just because we know He commanded us, but yet our hearts are far away from Him, it makes it hard for Him to bless us. Thatโ€™s why Abel got the blessing and not Cain. Be delighted about the reason and outcome of your hard work for the kingdom of God (Matthew 6:33).

Brethren, let humility and meekness be your lifestyle so that you may be blameless in the sight of God.
