“Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; He is the faithful God, keeping His covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love Him and keep His commandments.” — Deuteronomy 7:9
Exactly three years ago, I left Germany and returned to Nigeria by the instruction of God. It was not a decision that made sense from a human perspective. I left behind what many would consider financial security and stepped into a future that I could not fully see.
Before I left, the Lord gave me a simple but profound answer to every question about my future. He said, “If anyone asks you what your financial plan is, tell them: God is my Provider.”
Those words have been tested repeatedly over these past three years. There were moments when the next provision was not visible, when opportunities seemed absent, and when human wisdom suggested anxiety. Yet the Lord has remained true to His word. He has supplied every need in His own way and at His own time. He has proven that His faithfulness is not dependent on the economy, an employer, or a nation. His provision flows from His unchanging character.
Our generation often trusts salaries, savings, investments, and connections more than God. While these things have their place, they were never meant to replace our confidence in the Lord. Every earthly source can fail, but God never does. He may use people and systems as channels, but He alone is the Source.
Perhaps God has given you a promise that seems delayed. Perhaps He has called you into a season where your faith is being stretched. Do not abandon His word because of temporary circumstances. The God who called Abraham, fed Elijah, sustained Israel in the wilderness, and cared for the early Church is the same God today. His faithfulness has not diminished.
If God has spoken, hold firmly to His promise. His timing is perfect, His resources are limitless, and His character never changes. Long after circumstances change, one truth remains: He is faithful.
Prayer Points
- Let us thank God for His unfailing faithfulness through every season of our lives.
- Let us ask the Lord to strengthen our faith so that we will trust His Word above what we see with our natural eyes.
- Let us pray that God will deliver us from placing our confidence in human systems, wealth, or connections instead of in Him.
