My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. (James 3:1 KJV)

Multitasking is a beautiful word used in getting things done in this world and it has become a criteria for most businesses when hiring in their organisations. Often times, we learn to multitask more and more just to get things done. However, this is different with Spiritual assignments because God is orderly and is particular about details. Everyone that is created has a purpose of existence and every believer has an assignment in the Kingdom which is different from one another.

Our Lord Jesus, when they were going to make him King by force (John 6:15), departed from among them because becoming a king on earth does not align with his assignment. He came into this world to carry out a specific assignment, which is to destroy the works of the devil and reconcile man back to God by dying on the cross for our sins so we can have eternal life. The detailed nature of God shows in the way he deals with his children and that is why God would instruct Elijah to anoint three different individuals for three different assignments in 1 Kings 19:15-16

As children of God, we must endeavour to know where we belong in his masterplan and what his assignment is for us rather than doing everything like everyone else is doing. That it looks good does not equal to being right for you and we must not be caught in the web of activities. I once met a childrenโ€™s church teacher who God has been using to mould destinies in the children department and even though the anointing is evident, she still didnโ€™t try to seek relevance in the big church but rather, stayed in her place of assignment and the level of impact has been unmatched.

In Joel 2:7, we see that the end time church is an army of believers with everyone focusing on their specific duties given in the body of Christ and not encumbered with activities. Everyone has a direction by staying on their paths and doing that which God has told them to do. They are not obsessed with titles or praises of men but rather, to please the Father by carrying out his instructions.

Prayer point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His word today and letโ€™s pray that God will align us with our specific assignment in the body of Christ.

God bless you all
