CALL TO PRAYER
Title: Remain Faithful

Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.”
(2 Peter 2:9 NKJV)
When we consider the story of Lot, we see a man living in a wicked city, surrounded by people whose lives displeased God. Yet, God knew how to deliver Lot from the destruction that came upon Sodom and Gomorrah. While the Lord rescued the righteous, He also brought judgment upon the ungodly. (2 Pet. 2:6–8)
This reminds us that God sees the lives of His people and knows how to deliver those who trust in Him. Even when we find ourselves surrounded by wickedness, persecution, and opposition, we must not compromise our faith. God has not forgotten His own, and He knows how to preserve those who remain faithful to Him.
Jesus Christ is coming soon to judge the world. Just as God judged Sodom and Gomorrah, the day is coming when everyone will stand before the Lord and give an account of their lives. (2 Pet. 3:7, 10) Therefore, we must not be carried away by the pleasures, pressures, or persecutions of this present world.
The Christian journey will not always be easy. Some may face rejection, hardship, and persecution because of their faith in Christ. Nevertheless, we must remain steadfast and hold firmly to our faith until the end. Jesus said, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matt. 24:13) Let us not exchange our eternal reward for temporary comfort or the approval of this world.
Scripture assures us that there will be a clear difference between those who serve God and those who do not. Our labour in the Lord is not in vain, and those who remain faithful will receive their reward from Him. (1 Cor. 15:58; Rev. 2:10)
Beloved in the Lord, let us continue to watch, pray, and walk in holiness as we await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though the world may grow increasingly ungodly, let us stand firm in the truth, trusting that the Lord knows how to deliver His people and will judge the world in righteousness. Remain faithful to the end, for the Lord is coming!
Prayer Point:
Let us thank God for His faithfulness. Let us also pray for grace to remain steadfast in Christ amid persecution and the ungodliness of this world.
