Title โ€“ย The hand of change

1st Kings 18:44 – Then it came to pass the seventh time, that he said, โ€œThere is a cloud, as small as a manโ€™s hand, rising out of the sea!โ€ So, he said, โ€œGo up, say to Ahab, โ€˜Prepare your chariot, and go down before the rain stops you.

In the life of every individual or a nation, there will certainly be a time or times that significant events happen, and these become historical moments. Our verse for today was one of those days in the life of the people of Israel. The land had been barren for three and half years because the Prophet Elijah identified a promise (Deuteronomy 11:13-17) and prayed (1st Kings 17:1) it into being, and the heavens gave no rain.

The promise came into being because the people had sinned against God. However, when the hearts of the people turned back to God after the great miracle performed by the prophet Elijah (1st Kings 18:37-39), the prophet prayed again for the rain to fall. After sending his servant to check the sign of rain coming, on the seventh time, the servant saw a cloud as small as a hand. This hand was the turning point from barrenness to fruitfulness in the land.

Today, I declare that the hand of God has risen for you. There is a turning around and shifting in the atmosphere in your favour in Jesusโ€™ name. The mighty hand of change has entered your life and, every area that seems barren will begin to bear fruit in Jesusโ€™ name. May you experience a new and greater dimension of fruitfulness, in your spiritual and physical lives in Jesusโ€™ name.

Prayer Point

Let us take some time and pray and thank God for His word today. Also, pray concerning every aspect of your life that seems barren. Pray that the mighty hand of God should stretch forth towards that area in Jesusโ€™ name.
