Title: He Is Always With Us_Part 2

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.โ€ Amen.

(Matthew 28:19-20 NKJV)

We mostly hear many Believers say that โ€œI donโ€™t feel the presence of God nowadays. Maybe He is angry with me or He is no more with meโ€. We donโ€™t have to base the presence of God in our lives on how we feel; whether God is present in our lives doesnโ€™t depend on how we feel. Please donโ€™t misunderstand me here, the presence of God can be felt but thatโ€™s not always the key indicator that He is with us. The Lord wants us to believe by Faith and trust His Word that He will be with us to the end, and He will never leave us nor forsake us (Heb. 13:5). He also wants us to know that wherever two or three gather in His name, He is always with us (Matt. 18:20).

One thing I have observed in Church, Prayer Meetings and other Christian Programs is that the attitude of most believers toward worship is influenced by the presence of musical Instruments, the head Pastor or Prophet and some gifted members. When there are musical instruments, we get in the mood to sing and worship the Lord but in the absence of them, most people donโ€™t get in the mood. Musical Instruments are very good, and they can actually help to create a spiritual atmosphere that allows the Holy Spirit to move freely in the Service and do His Work. However, the next time you to go Church and the Instruments or the Instrumentalists are absent, know that God is not absent.

I have personally seen most Believers miss Church Service whenever the head Pastor travels or is not available. This sadly looks as if the head Pastor, Prophet, or the Leader carried God along with him when he traveled. The Lord didnโ€™t say where two or three gathers with the presence of Pastors, Prophets, Apostles, Evangelists and Teachers, then He is with us. We honor and respect the Anointing and the Spiritual Authority of our Leaders, but their absence doesnโ€™t mean God is also absent.

This attitude of most believers basing the presence of God on their feelings and the presence of some Spiritual men has caused them to miss many spiritual encounters. The truth is we mostly expect the presence of God to be something spectacular and end up missing the supernatural. When Elijah was waiting God on Mount Sinai, there were a great strong wind, earthquake, and fire but the Lord was in none of them. The Lord later spoke to the Prophet in a still small voice (1 Kings 19).

Beloved in the Lord, God doesnโ€™t want us to base His presence in our lives on our feelings and on the presence of other spiritual men. He wants us to believe by Faith in His Word that He will always be with us, and He is a God of His Word. Most importantly, we have to know that we are the carriers of His presence because our body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask God to help all Believers around the world to have a strong Faith in the Lord that He is always with us and will never leave us nor forsake us.
