The Stain of Sin

When I go for lunch at Work, my Shirt or Trousers is sometimes mistakenly stained by some of the Food. Since my Workplace is a bit far from my House, I always try to cover the Stain until I get back home. When I stain my Shirt, I mostly use my Jacket to cover it and when I stain my Trousers, I use my Suitcase and try as much as possible to walk or sit in a manner that many people wouldn’t notice the Stains. When I get back home, I always wonder if the Stains will go away. I mostly soak my Clothes in Water, apply some Detergents, leave it for some time and after washing, the Stains vanish. Oh, you have to be there to see the Joy on my face! Some of the Stains remain for a while but after washing the Clothes multiple times they fade away.

Sin also stains our lives. When we sin, we sin we try to cover it up out of shame or out of fear of being punished. Most the sins committed are done in secret. For a Murder Case, it can take a Detective over 50 years to track down the real Culprit, and many of them are mostly not found. Beloved, you may have been living in sin your whole life and it has stained your life but there is still hope for you. I want to recommend to you a very powerful Detergent that is capable of removing every stain of sin and cleansing your life. This Detergent I am talking about is the Blood of Jesus.

It doesn’t matter who you are, how worse your sins are and how long you been living in sin, the Blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse you. Apostle Paul was a murderer who had been persecuting the Church but after he encountered our Lord Jesus, he was cleansed by the Blood and the Lord used him powerfully. Most of the Books in the New Testament were written by him. This is what the Lord will do to your life if today you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead (Rom. 10:9-10). You may already be a Believer, but you have made some mistakes. Don’t worry! There is still hope for you, the Blood is still for you. If today you shall confess your sins to the Lord, He will surely forgive you and cleanse from all the stains of sin (1 John 1:8-10).

“Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool (Isaiah 1:18 NKJV).

In the old Testament, the blood of Animals was used by the Israelites when the sinned, but this blood only covered their sins and had no power to completely remove their sins (Lev 4, Heb 10:1-6). That’s the reason why God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to shed His Blood for our sins. The Blood of Jesus on the contrary do not cover our sins but completely removes our past, present, and future sins and give us a right standing with God (2 Cor 5:21). This blood was shed for about 2,000 Years ago but it is still effective and powerful to remove every sin; the Blood will never lose its power. This Blood speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Heb 12:24). When Cain murdered his brother Abel, the blood of Abel was crying out for revenge, but the Blood of Jesus is crying out for Mercy and Forgiveness (Gen 4: 10).

Beloved in the Lord, the Blood of Jesus has the power to cleanse us from all sins when believe in Him and accept Him as our Lord and personal savior. If you make a mistake as a Believer, come before the Lord, and confess your sins and He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse you with the Blood of Jesus.

Prayer Point:

Let’s thank God for His Word today. Let’s ask God to be merciful upon the world and everyone living in sin that they may encounter Jesus and be cleansed. Let’s ask God to be merciful upon all Believers who are struggling with any form of sin and also strengthen them to overcome the power of sin.
