The Season Divine Celebration
By: Nana Adjoa Brasor-Kuffour
ย โThen Hannah prayed: โMy heart rejoices in the Lord! The Lord has made me strong. Now I have an answer for my enemies; I rejoice because you rescued me.โ
(1 Samuel 2:1 NLT)
We have understood that not all celebrations are of God or not all celebrations are divine. I would want us to look at what can bring a person into a season of Divine Celebration. There are four main things that usher a person into a season of his/her Divine Celebration. Today, I will talk about one and discuss the rest in the coming weeks.
In order to enter a season of Divine Celebration, God has to remember you. 1 Samuel 1:19-20 makes us understand that something significant happened in Hannahโs life which brought her into her season of Divine Celebration; GOD REMEMBERED HER. In the same way, God remembered Rachael when she needed a fruit of the Womb (Genesis 30:22-23) and Noah, when the Lord wanted to destroy the world with Flood (Genesis 8:1). The wonderful thing is that anytime God remembers a person, itโs always follows with Rejoicing, Divine Celebrations and Testimonies.
One may ask, if God remembered Hannah, Rachael, and Noah, does it mean that He sometimes forgets about us? I am sure Hannah had felt that God has forgotten about her when her desire to have Children were taking long. Maybe that is even how you are feeling today but donโt worry, you are so dear to the Lord. The Lord is a good Mother who thinks about His Children all the time (Isaiah 49:14). I want you to believe in your heart that Godโs Word for you today is that He will not forget you (Isaiah 44:21).
God wants us to understand that His love for us is so deep and He canโt forget about us. Thatโs the reason why he compares His love for us with the love of a Mother for her child (Isaiah 49:15-16). One of the reasons why itโs impossible for God to forget about us is that He has inscribed us on the palms of His hands. God took one of the most active part of His body; the part He used to lay the foundation of the Heavens and the Earth, the part He uses daily to do many miracles, to write our names on (Isaiah 48:13).
God chose this particular part so that whenever He uses His palms to do wonders, He will always be thinking of us. So now if God is always thinking about us, what makes you think He can forget about you? God says we are His creation and His servants, so there is no way He can forget His very own (Isaiah 44:21). I therefore assure you today that GOD WILL NEVER FORGET YOU!
Beloved in the Lord, whenever God remembers you, He doesnโt just stop there but does more than you ever expect. He does it until we overflow with many blessings. Hannah didnโt just give birth to only Samuel but had six children afterwards (1 Samuel 2:5). Letโs continue to have Faith in the Lord for He is good, and His mercies endures forever!
Prayer Point:
ย Letโs thank God for His word today. Letโs ask God to give all Believers around the world more Grace so we will continue to believe in Him even in times of Trial when everything around us seems hopeless.
