Title: Second Chance

I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. ย ย (Galatians 2:20 NKJV)

ย

I once listened to a Testimony of a certain man who used to be an Atheist but became a Christian after an encounter with our Lord Jesus Christ. According to this man, he became severely ill to the point of death. The Doctors tried various medications, therapies, and procedures but to no avail. He was then informed by the Doctors that they have done all they could and so it was likely he was going to die. He became very sad and afraid upon hearing this News. His only hope was in the Doctors who had just disappointed him. He was afraid to die because he didnโ€™t know what was waiting for him on the other side.

He remembered saying that if the Lord is truly there, He should have mercy on him and heal him. In the middle of the night, he saw a very bright light appear in his room. In this light came a voice that comforted and assured him that he will recover. The very next morning, he began to recover miraculously, and all the Medical Practitioners were amazed. After this encounter, his views and spirituality changed, and he dedicated his life to serving the Lord.

After having a Near-Death Experience, your views, and perspectives about life change. You will also have many questions in your mind. For example, if you were to depart this earth on that very day, what account would you give when you stand before the Lord? What is your main purpose on this earth? Were you able to fulfill your purpose on this earth? I believe these are very important questions that everyone on this earth should ask himself/herself and find answers to them. However, most people wait until they are severely ill, or something happens before they begin to think about these questions.

If you have had a Near-Death Experience, it means the Lord has given you a second chance. What will you do with this? Will you go back to live your life in the same way as you did before, in disobedience and complete disregard of the Lord or will you show gratitude to the Lord by dedicating your life to serve Him and help to establish His Kingdom on this earth as it is in Heaven? Personally, I have chosen the latter. This is not only for those who have had a Near-Death Experience but for all Believers.

Beloved in the Lord, if you are saved, it means the Lord has delivered you from eternal suffering and death (John 3:16). ย We were all on our way to hell until we encountered Jesus. Knowing this, how do we show appreciation to the Lord? We can do so by learning from Apostle Paul and dedicating our lives wholly to the service of God.

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask the Lord to help all Believers to be conscious of His love and sacrifice for us. Letโ€™s also ask the Lord to help all Believers to dedicate their lives to serving Him.

God bless you all
