He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. [4] Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.( Psalm 23:3-4 KJV)

Some years ago, I watched a film where a young lady was hit by a car on her way back from her ballet dance class. She had received a call from a loved one and left the hall to go home. There was a narrator in the film and in trying to review the incident in hindsight, he explained all the possibilities that could have allowed her to escape or miss that unfortunate incident. What if she had missed the call? She probably would not have stopped dancing and would have escaped that golden moment of tragedy. What if she had taken another direction or increased her pace while walking? She would not have perfectly coincided with the car at that same spot and at that exact time and would have escaped.

There is a way that the Spirit of God orders the steps of his children to guide them away from evil. It might look like the path he is taking them through is longer but the ultimate is that they are exempted from evil in the end. Intimacy with the Holy Ghost is key to ensure we donโ€™t โ€œcoincideโ€ with evil. Paul was warned by the Holy Ghost through the mouth of the prophet Agabus(Acts 21:11) on how he will be bound in Jerusalem but ignored it and suffered the consequences.

In 1 Samuel 9:3, the asses of Saulโ€™s father that went missing were the first character that started the sequence of the journey of fulfillment of the peopleโ€™s prayer for a king. Unknown to Saul, there was a divine arrangement to order his steps in looking for the missing animals in a particular direction until he meets with Samuel so he can be king. It was all an orchestration by the Spirit of God.

There is a path that God takes us through to bring us to every point in His will for our lives(David as an example). Many today are going through situations that look stressful but the Spirit might have designed it as the path to fulfilment and because someone insulted them, they are willing to quit and truncate the process that would have led them to the Palace. We might have to go through discomfort sometimes to get to the promise.

Prayer point:
Let us thank God for the word today. Let us pray for the leading of the Holy Spirit to take us through paths of divine arrangement that will bring us into destiny fulfillment.
