All praise toย God, theย Fatherย of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because weย are united with Christ.ย โ€ญโ€ญEphesiansโ€ฌ โ€ญ1:3โ€ฌ โ€ญNLT

According to the scriptures, the moment we gave our lives to God by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, the fullness of the blessing came into our spirit. Meaning,ย every Christian has been blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. Despite this truth, not every Christian is manifesting this blessing. Nowย theย question is, how do we walk in or activate the blessingsย that weย have received?

In the New Testament, the access to the blessing is simply by faith, for the scripture says in Galatiansโ€ฌ โ€ญ3:9โ€ฌ โ€ญNLTโ€ฌโ€ฌ “… all who put their faith in Christ share the same blessing Abraham received because of his faith“. This blessing of Abraham that we have receivedย is locatedย in Christ, who is in our spirit (Eph. 1:3). To see this blessing manifest in the natural, there are certain acts of faith we must do. One act of faith that leads to all profit (the manifestation of every blessing in Christ) is sacrificial giving.

The power of sacrificial giving was first revealedย in the life of ourย fatherย Abraham, whom the Lord tested by asking him to sacrifice his son Isaac.ย When Abraham passed the test, the Lord responded byย sayingย “That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven…ย (Gen. 22:17 KJV)”. Note, at this point, Abraham had already been blessed by God (Gen. 14:17-20, 15:6) Soย what Godย was saying to Abraham in Genesis 22:17 wasย “I will give you the grace to manifest all the blessing you have received in your spirit already“.

Apostle Paul also spoke about the power of sacrificial giving in accessing grace to manifest spiritual blessings when he told the Corinthianย Church “… let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work (2 Cor. 9:7-8โ€ฌ โ€ญNKJVโ€ฌโ€ฌ).

As we must have understood, giving is not limited to money, itย includes our time, services and anything we value. As we stay sensitive to the Holy Spirit, He will tell us what and how we should give.

Prayer Point;

Let’s thank God for His word today. Let’s ask Him to help each believer to excel in the giving graceย andย He shouldย helpย all to be more thankful.
