Title: The Fight of Faith

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
Ephesians 6:12 ESV

The above verse of scripture contains a long list of the forces that a Christian may have to engage in battle. On the list, spiritual forces of evil was mentioned, and it’s location is very suggestive of its intentions, ‘in the heavenly places’. In Ephesians 1:3, it was revealed that we have been blessed in Christ with every spiritual blessings ‘in heavenly places’. We see, the enemy is located where the blessing is.

Spiritual forces of evil contends with a believer, and tries to stop them from accessing their inheritance in Christ. Not so many are aware of this battle in the spirit realm, and this account for some of the losses that many Christians experience.

The keys to winning in this battle are;

1. Knowing there is a battle as revealed in the scriptural verse of today.

2. Knowing that we have been given victory over them by the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus (Colossians 2:15).

3. From the position of victory, we make war against these forces using the authority in the name of Jesus we have been given (Luke 10:19).

4. Living from the position of Truth by only saying what God has said instead of the experience of contradiction (2 Corinthians 5:7).

5. A life style of thanks giving (Philemon 1:6).

Believers don’t fight for victory, we fight from victory.

Prayer Point;

Let’s take out time today to ask God to train the hands of believers for war, so we can dispossess all contending forces to our blessings in Christ.
