Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? (Acts 2:37)

I once heard a message preached some years ago on the Internet while preparing to go to church on a Sunday morning and a line from that Sermon got stuck in my head. I can’t remember the title, the exegesis, or the bible references used in the message but I can’t forget the preacher saying “The sweet hour of prayer”. I will later discover that it was a word that was energized and quickened by the Holy Ghost to carry me on a journey of personal revival. First, I began craving for hymns and my prayer life started becoming serious. Then, I began to see more things when I read the bible amongst many other things that happened. All these started from a word fired into my spirit by the Holy Ghost.

God is passionate about His children and will look for avenues to speak or deliver His word into their spirit man. Sometimes, it might be in a conversation but you will know that what you have just heard was not normal words because it will sit in your spirit and keep coming to you so you can take action. Where we miss it most times is when we decide to ignore the voice in our spirit and fail to take action. If we are willing to follow, he will lead us to the paths of purpose and destiny.

When a proclamation is made and our spirit man agrees with it, we need to find out what demand is required to see it fulfilled and plug ourselves in. For me, I needed to be revived to be in alignment so his work could prosper in my hand. So, as the hunger for hymns and prayer was coming, I gave myself to it and was searching everywhere for resources that would quench the thirst in my soul.

Finally, friends, one word from God can change your life if you take it wholeheartedly and run with it for performance. This is the same principle that guides prophecy fulfillment.
