“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers.”   Psalm 1:1

Mockers are ubiquitous, lurking in every sphere of life – churches, homes, workplaces, and more. They lie in wait, eager to pounce on your mistakes and doubt your potential. Some may even brazenly declare that nothing good can ever come from you. They observe and wait, anticipating your downfall.

But take heart! Even Jesus faced mockery from those closest to him. They scorned him, saying, “Is this not the son of Joseph, the carpenter? Can anything good come from Nazareth?” Yet, Jesus fulfilled his purpose, silencing his mockers.

Today, I pray that God will silence your mockers and expose those who pretend to be your friends but harbor ill intentions. Don’t underestimate someone who’s going through a process. Joseph’s brothers mocked his dreams, but ultimately, he rose to greatness.

Remember, being mocked is not unique to you. Jesus, Joseph, and many others have faced similar challenges. But with faith and perseverance, you can overcome and achieve greatness.

According to Psalm 1:1, to avoid being mocked, it’s essential to be mindful of the company you keep. The Bible warns that associating with mockers can have a negative influence on your life. As the saying goes, “evil communication corrupts good manners” (1 Corinthians 15:33). By distancing yourself from those who mock and ridicule, you can protect yourself from their harmful influence and maintain a positive and upright lifestyle.

May God give you the strength to ignore the mockers and fulfill your purpose!
