Title: The Battle is still on

By: Dorcas Enim Enyan

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this world, and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

Ephesians 6:12 NIV

The conflict between the seen and the unseen, the flesh and the Spirit, the Kingdom of God, and the Kingdom of darkness is the most factual battle in a believer’s life. The Battle between good and evil became even more intense after the fall of man (Gen 6:5-6). The fall of man disconnected him from God and man has been living in total disobedience and rebellion. God so loved the world and sent his only begotten son Jesus Christ who freely gave up his life for us that we may be redeemed from sin, and receive back the Life we lost in the beginning due to the disobedience of man.

One may ask, if Jesus has defeated sin and holds the keys of death and of Hades, why do we still have to war? Why do we have to step in any sort of battle in our walk as believers? The GOOD NEWS IS CHRIST OVERCAME; every battle we may face, any trial or temptation ahead of us, we have overcome them by the blood of the Lamb. HALLELUJAH!

In the book of Ephesians 6 chapter one downwards, Apostle Paul admonishes us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Being strong in the Lord therefore boost up our hope in God and enables us to fully trust in Him and not in our strength. Apostle Paul further instructs us to put on the full amour of God, so that we can take our stand against the devil’s schemes (Ephesians 6:10-17).

We win when we are persistent in prayer and do not faint or lose heart (Luke 18:1). Praying in the Spirit causes us to access the victory Christ Jesus won on our behalf through his death and resurrection. One of my favorite scripture in the Bible is Romans 8:35-39, โ€œWho shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS through him who loved us. For l am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord .โ€ PRAISE GOD!

Beloved, our Lord has declared us overcomers, conquerors, victors, winners, and defeaters over the schemes of the evil one. Focus on Godโ€™s words concerning you! Though your situation may say otherwise, your circumstances may contradict Godโ€™s word but always keep in mind that God is not a man that He should lie, and His word never return to Him void but always accomplishes what He desires and will prosper everywhere He sends it (Isaiah 55:11).

Prayer Point

Let us thank God for today’s word. Let us pray that God should grant the entire body of Christ the Grace to accept and profess the victory Christ won on our behalf so we may overcome every scheme of the evil one in Jesus’ name.

God bless you!
