So he said to them, โ€œPlease hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.โ€

Some weeks ago, the Leaders of our congregation were talking about one particular girl in the Youth Fellowship. This girl has grown spiritually within a short period to the amazement of many. Everyone has witnessed her love, commitment, and zeal towards the work of God. We were therefore remembering how her spiritual growth started and thanking God for how far He has brought her.

During the discussion, one lady said that what really surprises her is that this girl is still a teenager, and she has reached a stage where the hormones that enhances desires for pleasure are rapidly developing. As soon as she made this statement, a word dropped in my Spirit saying, โ€œthis girl has received something from the Lord which is far greater than the activities of hormones: She has received a revelation from the Lordโ€.

The truth is that we all need a revelation from the Lord. Having a revelation from God keeps you focused on your spiritual life and also helps to keep you away from living in sin and pleasure. The reason why most people live for pleasure is because they donโ€™t know what the Lord has planned and purposed for their lives and what He expects from them.

Thatโ€™s why most people live their lives anyhow. Letโ€™s consider someone like Joseph who received a revelation from the Lord through a dream that he will be a great man (Gen 37:6-7). Due to the revelation, he had on who the Lord is and what He has planned for him, he wouldnโ€™t let just 5 minutes of pleasure with Potipharโ€™s wife distract him from where the Lord was taking him (Gen 39:7-10).

The Lord has clearly stated that He knew all of us when we were in our motherโ€™s womb. That was the time He planned what we are to accomplish on this earth (Jer 1:5). Knowing that the Lord is the only one who knows why He brought us into this world, why donโ€™t we go to Him and ask Him to reveal these plans and purposes to us? We also know that He loves us, and the plans and thoughts He has for us are for our own good and to give us a future and a hope (Jer 29:11). Sometimes you donโ€™t need more prayers, you just need a revelation. Sometimes you donโ€™t need more fasting, you just need a revelation.

Donโ€™t procrastinate! Go to the Lord now! Creation is awaiting your manifestation (Rom 8:19). You need a revelation from God to know what He has planned for you and what He is expecting from you. There are some problems in this world that the Lord has planned and positioned it in such a way that only you must solve it.

For example, that sickness that has been running in your family for ages, you are the one who can end it for the coming Generation. ย You may be the one that the Lord has planned to end that poverty in your family. There are some people whose salvation and healing should come from you. Donโ€™t let sin and pleasure distract you. Seek the Lord deeper. Most people donโ€™t have revelation from the Lord thatโ€™s why they continue to live for pleasure.

Beloved in the Lord, we need a revelation from the Lord who knew us when we were in our motherโ€™s womb and also brought us into this world. Having a revelation from God keeps you focused on your spiritual life and also helps to keep you away from living in sin and pleasure. Donโ€™t procrastinate! Go to the Lord now!

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask the Lord to give all Believers around the world a revelation of His Plans and Purposes for our lives.

God bless you all
