Title: Absolute Dependency

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. (Romans 8:26 KJV)
Man was made to be dependent on God as our source which was why we were made in His image and likeness. The origin of our being came from His breathing into man. However, man is full of inadequacies and the best of us cannot dwell in His presence without the help of the Spirit. If man was perfect, we wonโt seek God anymore and the most High knew that we possess this tendency. Cain demonstrated this when he departed from the presence of the Lord (Gen. 4:16).
The things that we have found as our inadequacies should be what is driving us towards God for help instead of feeling guilty and running away from His presence as Cain did. Most people are ashamed and hide away when he clearly says โcome unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest โ (Matt. 11:28). He is the only one who can take it away. He took away the weariness of the men who came to David in the cave of Adullam and replaced it with valour.
Jesus is still in the business of making men and your limitations or inadequacies are where He will forge out strength from. Saul had an encounter with Him and timidity died and his heart was replaced with that of a bold king. Moses, who had a speech impediments became a man mighty in word and deeds (Acts 7:22).
We should never hesitate to run back to Him because the enemy seeks to keep us in darkness perpetually.
Prayer point:
Letโs thank God for His word today. Let us ask for grace never to leave His presence for anything.
