Title: Accessing the Secret of the Lord
By: Daniel Peter
Date: 03.01.2023
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.ย Jeremiah 31:34 KJV

God existed before all creation and He is the source of all that has been made. In His desire to make Himself known to His creation (both man and Angels), He chose to relate with man on an intimate level. By this relationship with man, His nature is revealed and His identity known.
The scriptural verse of today was a statement attached to the promise of the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34. By Him saying “for they shall all know me (Verse 34)”, He was inferring that every Christian will be called into this intimate fellowship with God where He will make Himself known to us (1Cor. 1:9). The word “know” as used in the scriptural verse of today is from the Hebrew word “Yada”, which was the word used when the bible said “… Adam knew His wife Eve (Gen. 4:1)”. Therefore, the knowledge of God that will be revealed through our lives to creation is similar to the knowledge A man has of His wife when they meet sexually. This knowledge is what is referred to as secret, as intimacy between a man and a woman is done in the secret.
The implication of the above is that by our intimate relationship with Him, each one of us has access to the secret of the Lord, as the scriptures say: “The secret of the LORD is with them that fear Him” (Psalm 24:14). This secret is first revealed to us by the unique path He takes us through in our personal relationship with Him, and it is revealed through us to others when we share this knowledge with them.
Prayer Points:
Let’s thank God for His word today. Let’s also ask God for the grace to take note of the revelation of His secret He gives us from time to time, and He should help us to steward it well by sharing same with others.
