Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Luke 6:3
Being a blessing to others is a powerful way to honour God. When we share what He has given us, whether it’s our time, resources, love, or compassion. we reflect His heart and extend His grace to the world. Scripture reminds us that giving is not about abundance but about willingness and love.
God blessed Abraham not just for his own benefit, but so he could be a blessing to others. That blessing extends to us through Christ:
I will bless you… and you will be a blessing.
Genesis 12:2
If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
Galatians 3:29
The ultimate example of being a blessing is Jesus Christ, who gave Himself completely for our salvation.
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.
Mark 10:45
Even the smallest offering can make a huge impact in God’s hands. The boy who shared his lunch saw it multiplied to feed thousands.
Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?
John 6:9
Jesus multiplying the few loaves of bread and fish was a reminder that God uses what we surrender.
Being a blessing doesn’t require wealth. You can give your time, listen to someone in pain, volunteer, show love, or pray for others.
Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
1 Peter 4:10
And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.
Hebrews 13:16
Let your life be a channel of God’s goodness. Bless others, and in doing so, you’ll find yourself blessed beyond measure. As the Apostle Paul wrote, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9)”
