Title: Believe

“If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”
Romans 10:9-10
To believe means to have confidence or faith in something or someone. In a spiritual context, belief can also mean: having faith in a higher power or deity.
In Genesis 15:6, the scripture said “Abram believed the Lord, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” This verse highlights the remarkable faith of Abram (later known as Abraham), who believed God’s promise. Despite the impossibility of having a child at his advanced age, Abram trusted God’s promise to make him the father of many nations. He received righteousness; Abram’s faith was credited to him as righteousness, demonstrating that faith, not works, is the basis for a right relationship with God.
John 11:25-26 contains some of Jesus’ most significant and reassuring words: “I am the resurrection and the life.” Jesus declares Himself to be the source of eternal life and the power behind resurrection. “The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” Jesus promises that those who trust in Him will overcome physical death and experience eternal life. In this passage, Jesus offers hope and comfort to Martha, whose brother Lazarus has died. It emphasizes the importance of faith and trust in Him.
Ultimately, trusting in God is a decision that only you can make. Keep believing!
