And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [48] And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me. [49] And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.( Mark 10:47-49 KJV)

Recently, I watched an open air crusade in Cameroon that lasted for three days. The power of God was so strong on the first day and God wrought creative miracles among the people. The second day was like unto the first only that it was a night of deliverance from oppression of the devil and many were liberated from the shackles and bondage of Satan. Finally, the last day came and all kinds of wonders and miracles were happening to the extent that people called their relatives who were sick on phone while the crusade was going on and people with stroke and all manner of sicknesses were getting healed just by connecting through a phone call. Then, it looked like the ministration was over and the minister was already praying to leave and suddenly I saw a woman with her baby lurking in the crowd behind the man of God looking sober, desperate and pressing forward to get to him. Then God saw her faith and spoke through the man of God saying โ€œI hear the cry of a womanโ€ and she secured an attention from heaven for her babyโ€™s miracle.

This story is relative to the woman who was with the issue of blood in Matt. 9:20-22. She was there like everybody else but with a desperate faith in her heart and this made her continue to press and press until she touched the hem of the masterโ€™s garment. Many a times, we believe God strongly in our hearts for a change to an unpleasant situation but fail to act according to this conviction we carry. This will automatically limit the interference of heaven because it reflects doubt and the Bible is clear about the expectations of the doubtful in James 1:6-8. Meshach, Shadrach and Abednego believed God for a deliverance from the king who was going to execute them for not bowing to his idol. Even though they saw death staring them in the face from the burning furnace, they were still convinced of Godโ€™s mighty hand of deliverance and the heavens stood still to attend to their case.

God is waiting for you to act according to your faith in Him despite the negative manifest reality because that is the way to secure heavens attention and much more so when it seems that all hope is lost and everything is over like the story we read in the beginning, desperate faith when displayed will break protocol and put everything on stand still for heaven to attend to our case.

Prayer point:
Letโ€™s thank God for His word today. Lets pray that the Holy Spirit will baptise the body of Christ with a fresh spirit of faith that will keep commanding heavenโ€™s attention.

God bless you!
