Title: Divine Orchestration – Part 2
The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the Lord upholds him with His hand.
(Psalm 37:23-24 NKJV)
In last week’s call to Prayer, I began sharing on the topic, “Divine Orchestration”. We understood that “Divine Orchestration” is God putting different things together to work for good in the life of a Believer. We saw this in the life of Joseph; how he was sold as a slave by his own brothers, but the Lord helped him to rise to become a Governor, in a foreign Land (Egypt). I believe that this is a seasonal word that was inspired by the Lord.
This is because the Lord is raising a lot of great men and women in the Ministry for the next Generation and has given them many Visions and Dreams. However, most of these people are currently experiencing diverse forms of difficulties and Trials that are contrary to the promises they received from the Lord. This may cause many to doubt if the Visions and Dreams they received were even from the Lord and if the Lord is still with them. Therefore, them knowing that the Lord is the captain of their lives and that He will surely cause all things to work for their good, will encourage them to remain Faithful to the end.
Today, I would like us to consider the life of one great man in the Bible whose life was also beautifully orchestrated by the Lord. David, the youngest among his Siblings and a normal shepherd boy was chosen and anointed King of Israel to replace Saul who had disobeyed the Lord (1 Sam 13:14, 1 Sam 16). The truth is that when Samuel saw the appearance of Eliab, David’s Brother, he thought that he was the anointed, but the Lord had rejected him. This should teach us that we don’t have to judge by appearance. When you judge by outward appearance, you may overlook quality individuals who lack the physical qualities society currently admires. Appearance doesn’t reveal what people are really like or their true value.
Fortunately for us, God looks in the heart and not appearance; He judges by Faith and Character and not how you look outwardly. You should know that If God has given you this Vision, then it means that He has seen something in you and surely knows that you can accomplish it. He knows the end from the beginning (Is 46:9-11). The Lord knew Jeremiah even when he was in his mother’s womb and appointed him a Prophet (Jer 1:5). Also, it doesn’t matter if many people don’t believe in you and your Vision. What matters is what God says about you. David’s Father, Jesse didn’t even consider him for the Kingship until all his seven sons were rejected by the Lord. Let’s also spend a lot of time building and developing the inside.
Beloved in the Lord, God is now raising a lot of great men and women in the Ministry for the next Generation and has given us many Visions and Dreams. However, we may experience a lot of trials, difficulties, betrayals, and rejections along the way, including people who wouldn’t believe in our Vision. Let’s not focus on what people are saying! Let’s rather focus on the promise of God and be strong in our Faith, knowing that He will surely cause all things to work together for our good.
Prayer Point:
Let’s thank God for His Word today. Let’s ask the Lord to strengthen all Believers to endure all difficult situations, knowing that He will surely cause all things to work together for our good. Let’s ask Him to help us to judge by the leading of the Holy Spirit and not by appearance.
God bless you all
