Divine Repositioning
Call to Prayer:

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. Matthew 7:24, 26NLT
Throughout the scriptures, we find the question, “Who shall ascend to the holy mountain?” (Psalms 15:1, 24:3). The term “Holy Mountain” symbolizes the presence of God. The reason “mountain” is used is to help us understand that God’s presence is a solid foundation.
Building on the Holy Mountain (the presence of God) means that the structure being built will stand the test of time and withstand the trials of life. After Jesus preached the message on the mount (Matthew 5-7), He mentioned that two foundations exist: the solid rock (or the mountain top) and sand (Matthew 7:24-26). He went on to reveal that structures built on both foundations will face the same tests (the testing of the rain, the flood, and the wind, which will beat upon the building).
Only the structure built on the solid rock will stand after the period of testing. A building here represents the life of a person, a ministry, a marriage, or a business. Many marriages and businesses fail because they weren’t built on solid ground. God loves all and desires that those whose structures are built on sand be repositioned to the mountain top. And the way to it is sincere repentance and obedience to the instructions of God.
When the Bible says, “Who shall ascend to the Holy mount?“ (Psalm 15:1), it reveals that the people being addressed weren’t on the Holy Mountain, and a call for repositioning was made. The criteria given for people who will ascend (who will be repositioned) in Psalms 15 and 24 are character attributes that will manifest as we obey the instructions of God. This was the emphasis of Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5-7.
What foundation is your building (life, ministry, marriage, business, etc.) standing on? On the mountain top or miry clay (sand)? If it’s on miry clay, God desires to reposition you. The key to it is obedience to the word of God.
Prayer Point:
Let’s thank the Lord for His word today. Let’s ask Him to help all believers yield in obedience to Him.
