If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.ย  ย (James 1:5 NLT)

The Patriarch David had many endowments from heaven. He had divine strength, superior battle skills and others but chief among these numerous giftings was wisdom. The bible recorded it that he behaved himself wisely wherever he went as a subject under King Saul (1 Sam. 18:14). Even when he became king, it looked like the measure of wisdom over his life had increased according to a testimony of David in 2 Sam. 14:19-20, he was likened in wisdom to an angel of God.

This dimension of wisdom does not have its source in human intellectual exertion but in divine release. They come as inspirations that you will never be able to ordinarily think of on your own(Job 32:8). As amazing as intellectual wisdom is, it is nothing compared to divine wisdom. The reason is because, this dimension rides on the wings of the Spirit. Knowing what to do at every point in time and doing it is an exclusive reserve of heaven and not an ability given to men.

What the Holy Spirit does is to amplify the gift of wisdom resident on the inside of us and manifest through it. It teaches, guides and directs the paths of them that yield to Him. Wisdom is a defence and also giveth life to them that have it (Ecc. 7:12). When you ask God for wisdom and He gives you, it is a bulk of possibilities that we need the Holy Spirit to breath on so the resources embedded in it can come alive. Open doors are embedded in wisdom, favour is in it, safety and security is there to mention a few. When we become conscious of the Holy Spirit in our day to day walk, He will begin to think through our thoughts and guide us in our actions (Pro. 3:6).

Wisdom is principal and trying to live without it or in a smaller measure will be equal to short-changing ourselves since the provision had been made available to us as sons of the kingdom.

Prayer point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word. Let us ask God to fill us up again with the Spirit of Wisdom and that the Holy ghost should breath on it to manifest.
