For some days now, I have been writing on receiving healing by faith. Yesterday, I wrote about using His name for healing, which is simply faith in His name. Today, I want to reveal another way by which we can receive healing.

The Word of God contains the revelation of the blessings we have been given in Christ. As Apostle Peter said, “His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him” (2 Peter 1:3). Everything we need has already been given to us, and this includes healing.

It is through the Word that we gain knowledge of what has been given to us in Christ. As we come across these truths in Scripture and confess them by faith, we begin to see their manifestations in our lives.

Some years ago, while listening to Kenneth E. Hagin teach on 1 Peter 2:24, he emphasized that healing is already ours—“by His stripes you were healed.” As I listened, faith rose in my heart to receive healing simply by believing and confessing that truth.

At that time, I was suffering from an illness that had resisted medical treatment, and I was on medication. However, when I heard that message, I believed that I was already healed. Acting on that faith, I stopped taking the drugs, even though the symptoms were still present at the time.

After a while, without me paying much attention to it, the symptoms disappeared completely.

By simply confessing the Word in faith, we can manifest the healing that is ours in Christ Jesus.
