There’s no favouritism with God, as every child of God that fears Him is acceptable by Him (Rom. 2:11, Acts. 10:34-35). Despite this, there’s a difference among God’s people, and this difference is based on the amount of grace each is able to access.

Scriptures instructed us to grow in grace and knowledge…(2 Peter 3:18), which indicates that not everyone has the same measure of grace. And your grace level determines how God would relate to you. The exploit of Apostle Paul, which excelled the other Apostles of his time was because he was able to access more grace than the others. He said “… by the grace of God I am what I am… (1 Cor. 15:10).

One of the ways we access grace is by praying. This was evident in the life of Apostle Paul, who said “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all... (1 Cor. 14:18)”. As we spend time praying, especially praying in tongues, we rise in the spirit and more grace is given to us. Just like prayer, receiving the word also helps increase our grace level (Acts. 20:32).

Another way we grow in grace is by giving joyfully. Scriptures say “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work: (2 Cor. 9:7-8 NIV)”.

Giving doesn’t just attract specific graces to us, but it triggers God to make All GRACE abound towards you. (2 Cor. 9:8), which makes it the most potent way to grow in grace. The more grace we have, the more of the blessings in Christ we can manifest.

Prayer Point

Let’s thank God for His word today. Let’s ask Him to help us grow in grace.
