I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me

Philippians 4:13 KJV 

Ever since recorded history, there has always been a time of plenty and a time of little. In every of such seasons, the Lord makes a way to sustain His people. Despite the harsh economic situation in the nation and the world as a whole, there’s always sufficiency in all things for God’s people (2 Cor. 9:8).

The famous statement of Apostle Paul “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Phil. 4:13 KJV)”, was one he made when he was explaining his attitude towards his economic situation. For previously he said “I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or want (Phil. 4:12 KJV)”. So the system “I can do all things….”, means I can live having much or having little through the strength that God provides.

A man’s life does not consist of the abundance of things he has (Luke 12:15), so we shouldn’t be worried when it seems there’s a lack. The eternal life we have received is not subject to natural forces, but from Him, we receive wisdom on what to do to come out of any uncomfortable situation. Like Joseph in Egypt, he taught the nation how to prepare for the season of lack. We have access to this wisdom now.

Though inflation is soaring in the nation and the wind is blowing, let’s not be moved, but have our eyes fixed on Him. He who fed Elijah by a sparrow is there with you, and He will strengthen you. Be encouraged.

Prayer Point.

Let’s thank God for the world today, and let’s ask Him to strengthen His children to stand in this uncertain time in the world, and He should help people to remain focused on Him
