Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:7 KJV)

God has never changed from being the all-knowing. Our strengths and weaknesses are known to Him since he is the potter that made the clay. He therefore strengthens us in the areas of our weaknesses in our season of trials or travail. Godโ€™s vision and promises over our lives will never fail because He has commanded it but just like a child learning to walk for the first time, we need to trust Him to get us there.

From our scriptural reading, we see that God had seen a weakness in Joshua (spirit of fear) that may limit him from fulfilling his assignment on earth and God directly addressed it by instructing him to be strong and courageous because without it, he was bound to fail. The three Hebrew boys (Daniel 3:16-18) demonstrated this required level of confidence and God proved himself by saving them from the fiery furnace.

This is the strength of God that David understood when he was making his boast in the Lord in front of Goliath and the host of Philistines. He knew that as a man, he was limited but by displaying his confidence in God, he will tap into the divine strength of the most high and that was the exact outcome.

God knows that sometimes our faith or absolute confidence may be weak as humans, He therefore recommends that we build up our most holy faith by speaking in Holy ghost (Jude 1:20). In this dispensation of the Spirit, speaking in tongues gives us boldness in prayers and in the face of adversity and strengthens us in our weaknesses by giving the required courage to lay hold on that which God has ordained.

As children of God, He expects absolute confidence in His ability from us and when we do this, we attain spiritual strength and our prayer life will begin to command exploits (Daniel 11:32b).

Prayer point.
Letโ€™s ask God to increase our confidence in Him by His Spirit and let this culminate into all round exploit for the body of Christ.
