Title: Living Between Grace And Glory

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.
(Titus 2:11โ€“13 NKJV)

ย

There is a story of a young man who was rescued from a life-threatening accident. Doctors said he survived only by Grace. From that day onward, his entire outlook on life changed. He no longer lived carelessly or recklessly. Instead, he became intentional, disciplined, and grateful, knowing that his life had been spared for a reason. The grace that saved him also taught him how to live.

In the same way, the word of God reminds us in this passage that the Grace of God is not only what saves us, but also what shapes us. Grace is not just God overlooking our sins; Grace is God stepping into human history through Jesus Christ to redeem us completely. This grace has appeared to all men, meaning salvation is available to everyone, regardless of background, past mistakes, or social status.

However, Apostle Paul makes something very clear: true Grace is a teacher. It trains us to say โ€œnoโ€ to ungodliness and worldly desires. Grace does not give us permission to live anyhow; rather, it gives us the power to live differently. It teaches us to live soberly, with self-control; righteously, in right standing with others; and godly, in reverence and devotion to God, right here in this present world (Ti 2:12).

While we live disciplined and faithful lives on earth, our hearts are fixed on something greater. The word of God tells us that we are looking forward to the blessed hopeโ€”the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ (Ti 2:13). This hope keeps us steady when life is difficult. It reminds us that this world is not our final home and that our labor in the Lord is not in vain (1 Cor 15:58).

Beloved in the Lord, we are living between Grace and Glory. Grace has saved us, and Glory awaits us. Until that glorious day when Christ returns, God expects us to live lives that reflect His Grace. Let us not take salvation lightly. Let our daily lives show that we have truly encountered the transforming grace of God.

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His saving and transforming grace revealed through Jesus Christ. Letโ€™s ask Him to help us deny ungodliness, live godly lives in this present age, and remain steadfast as we look forward to the glorious return of our Lord and Savior.

God bless you all
