“That the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
โ€” Galatians 3:14 NKJV

In the past few days, I have been speaking about how to manifest the blessing. I started by showing that we are heirs of the blessings of Abraham, and yesterday I mentioned that confessing what Christ has accomplished for us is an act of faith that gives us access to grace for manifesting the blessing.

However, faith is not just confession. When James spoke about faith, he said, “Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? See how faith worked with his works, and by works, faith was made perfect?” (James 2:21-22). These works that perfect our faith are not works of the law but works of faith.

If you believe that Christ has made you rich through His poverty, now start giving generously to reflect that you have truly been made rich by Christ. The mistake most people make is waiting to have much before they give, but when we give the little we have, multiplication comes to us, like the widow who gave her and her child’s last meal to Elijah, resulting in the end of their lack (1 Kings 17:8-16).

In the same manner, if you believe that you have been healed by the stripes of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 53:5), now start living as one who has been healed, though you may still be feeling sick. Years ago, I read in one of Kenneth E. Hagin’s books about someone praying for another person for one of his legs to be healed. Each time he prayed, he asked the person to get up and walk, but the healing did not manifest. However, he noticed that when he asked the person being prayed for to get up and walk, he starts his movement with the leg that was not hurting.

Then he told him next time to start with the leg that was hurting (to demonstrate that he believed he was healed). The person did, and initially, it was painful, but he felt no pain again after a few steps. Stepping on the hurting foot became an act of faith that he had been healed.

If you believe that Christ was made a curse for you (Galatians 3:13), why are you praying against generational curses? Our actions must align with what we confess. So, faith is not confession alone, but it’s made perfect if we act in line with our faith. Those actions are the works of faith by which we are justified, and they lead to the manifestation of the blessings we have in Christ.

Prayer Points

  • Let’s thank God for His Word today.
  • Let’s ask Him to help us practice what we believe so we can see the manifestation of the blessing.
