Title: Maximising our heavenly timings.

Then the man of God was angry with him and said, “You should have struck five or six times; then you would have struck down Syria until you had made an end of it, but now you will strike down Syria only three times.”(2 Kings 13:19 ESV)
The children of Israel made a great mistake when they were supposed to go up and take the promised land, and missed a major window in their heavenly ordained time. The impact was, of course, too great, and it brought them great regret. When they realised their error, it was too late. A whole generation was wiped out, and the painful journey of forty years had to happen because they missed it (Numbers 13,14).
We serve a God of second chances and in his sovereign will allow for correction of mistakes and a revisit of doors of opportunities. However, there are major timings in the life of men and women that, when missed, could lead to a devastating outcome. According to the preacher in Ecclesiastes, time and chance happeneth to all men, but it is what they do with it that matters. It is better to take advantage of a window of opportunity than miss it and hope for a second chance.
We must therefore be sensitive in the spirit to know our appointed timings and be ready for them when they come. We should not be like those in Jerusalem who sorrowed over it because they did not know their time had come for deliverance. Every time we pray, we must expect the answer, and it is this active posture of expectation that guarantees manifestation.
Prayer point:
Let us thank God for His word today. Letโs pray for grace to know and maximise our God ordained timings.
