Title: Operating in Power

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.  (Acts 10:38 NKJV)

When our Lord Jesus was arrested to be crucified, most of His Disciples deserted Him. Apostle Peter who was very instrumental in His Ministry out of fear denied knowing Jesus Christ (26:69–75). However, after the Disciples have been endued with power on the day of Pentecost, Apostle Peter began to preach and revealed some Mysteries in the Kingdom. The power in his message pierced through the hearts of the people and they asked what they should do. Apostle Peter told them to repent of their sins and be baptized in the name Jesus Christ (Acts 2).

I believe that we are living in the End-time, and it is therefore very important for the End-time ministry to be backed with power. This is because men are not drawn to hear our message of Salvation and Deliverance by how we dress, how beautiful or handsome we are, how articulate we are, and even by how knowledgeable we are although we have to grow daily in knowledge. However, it takes a certain power to draw men to hear our message. That power is the Anointing!

We are living in a time where people are experiencing many sufferings and difficulties. Therefore, whether we like it or not, most people will be drawn to places where they believe they can find solution to their many problems. Many unbelievers are also drawn by miracles, signs, and wonders. I know many people who went to Church or Crusade with the sole aim of receiving a miracle from an anointed man of God, but they heard the Gospel and gave their lives to Christ.

Another reason why it is very important for us to operate in power is because the evil one and his agents knowing that their time is short will also strengthen themselves and put out a lot of fight (Eph 6:12). We can see the evidence of this all around us. We are living in a time where people love sin but hate God and do not want to have anything to do with God. The devil will not make it easy for us to preach the Gospel and set people free. We therefore need to empower ourselves to be able to destroy the works of the evil one and set people free. We need to fight power with greater power.

Beloved in the Lord, we are living in the End-time and the harvest field is ripe with many souls to be saved. The devil knowing that his time is near will not leave without putting out a fight. Therefore, many unbelievers will not be drawn easily to our message. It will take a certain power to compel men to hear the End-time message that the Lord has given to us. This power is the Anointing. Let’s go for the Anointing!

Prayer Point:

Let’s thank God for His word today. Let’s ask the Lord to anoint all Believers with power for the End-time harvest and ministry.
