Title: Our real enemy

โBe sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:โ ( 1 Peter 5:8).
When carefully looking at the art of enmity, most people even believers, rush to tag situations, people, or events without having a spiritual viewpoint of who the real enemy is. We need to have a proper orientation of who our real enemy appears to be, and for what objective he works on. We can not do that except we look carefully at God’s perspective of who our enemy is, and it is paramount we find that revelation in the Bible. The people of the world have been wrongly oriented or taught that their enemy is a physical vessel (That could be nature, animals, humans, or inanimate objects). It is quite unfortunate that some Christians largely patronize the fables that were introduced by the ideology of human concepts with gross fallacy.
Believing the concepts of enmity solely founded on the basis of natural perception of the earthly happenings or rather physical manifestations is not just misleading, but a great distraction that is a trick by the real enemy to cause more confusion. It is carnal to believe that a human is our enemy! unless we go back to the scriptural highlights and description of who is our real enemy, what is his aim, and why he is continuously after our relationship with God, we might keep apportioning blame to our fellow human beings. Jesus clearly pinpointed who the real enemy is, not only did he reveal the identity but also revealed the objective and ultimate target of the enemy (John 10:10). Although the Scripture describes his several identities as a thief, as an adversary, as the accuser of the brethren; nonetheless, his operation is guided by his evil goal to separate us away from God for all eternity.
Even though he is the real enemy, he does not work alone! The devil recruits co-partners to promote his wicked aim. These might be willing spiritual tools like demons, familiar spirits, spirit of lust, love of the world, love of money, and principalities of darkness (Ephesians 6:12). And also the physical or natural vessels are unfortunately human beings (they provide physical shelter and covering for the various spirits of darkness to manifest in them), animals, nature, authorities, governments, etc. All that the natural man sees as his enemy is what he can perceive and see through his flesh whether humans or animals, he thus tags as his enemy. An example is Ahab calling Elijah his enemy(1 King 21:20).
The devil is not only after our material or earthly success or whatever we see as progress in the physical, in fact, his ultimate goal is to steal the privilege of God’s dominion and glory in man because he knows what actually makes a man is not the earthly but the spiritual. By the life of Jesus on earth, it is a sure indication that God loves all people. we need to figure out the real enemy and fight a worthy battle.
Prayer points:
Let’s thank God for the message and also seek to know the tricks of the real enemy.
