For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh, For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds.  Corinthians 10:3-4

 

Life is a battlefield; as Christians, we are always in a battle against the enemy. Psalm 34:19 states, “Many are the AFFLICTIONS of the righteous, but the Lord DELIVERS him out of them ALL.” We all face various challenges and struggles that can leave us feeling overwhelmed, defeated, and powerless. However, as children of God, we have been equipped with the divine power to overcome any obstacle that comes our way.
From the scripture above, the Bible reminds us that our battles are not fought with physical weapons but with spiritual weapons, which are the power of prayer, the authority of God’s Word, and the presence of the Holy Spirit to guide and empower us.
To emerge victorious in the battles of life, we must first recognize the enemy (the devil) we are up against. Because our battles are not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers of darkness (Ephesians 6:12).
Second, we must put on the armor of God. We must dress ourselves in the armor of God, including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, and the helmet of salvation (Ephesians 6:13-17).
Third, we must use our spiritual weapons by wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, and praying in the Spirit, using our prayers as a powerful weapon against the enemy (Ephesians 6:17-18).
Fourth, we must trust in the power of God. We must trust that God is able to deliver us from any situation, no matter how impossible it may seem (Psalm 37:39-40).

 

Prayer Points:

Let’s pray that God will give us the strength and courage to use our spiritual weapons against the enemy and to trust in His power to deliver us when faced with challenges. May we overcome the battles of life in Jesus’ name.
