Title: Prayer

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in a time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)

โ€œGod does nothing but in answer to prayer; and even they who have been converted to God, without praying for it themselves (which is exceeding rare), were not without the prayers of others. Every new victory which a soul gains is the effect of a new prayer.โ€ โ€“ John Wesley

The call to prayer is the Father’s invitation to enter into His presence. It is the Father’s invitation into the throne room. Prayer is the voice of faith to the Father. Prayer is the Living Word on the lips of faith. Prayer gives a voice to our needs.

Prayer allows us to come boldly into the Throne Room of the Father to receive illumination and advanced knowledge to pray, as we ought to. Prayer is our ability to stand in the gap and intercede for nations, cities, communities, churches, leaders, families, and ordinary people so that the will of God can be enforced over and above the plans of the enemy.

In the beginning, there was no need for prayer. Man had unrestricted communion and fellowship with God. Man spoke and whatever he said was established. He named the animals and the woman with final authority. Whatever man needed, God knew beforehand and supplied even before man asked. He provided a garden, four rivers, substance for food and companionship. Man had dominion.
Making our requests known to God allows us to experience the manifestation of God in our lives as well as discover what He is capable of doing.

Prayer is a tool and a weapon, which is available to anyone in Christ; in prayer we discover the authority of the Name of Jesus and how to use it. We embrace the ability of the One dwelling in us and we receive a revelation of our rights and privileges in Christ. This is the reason why Christ said:
โ€œ….men ought always to pray and not to faint.โ€ (Luke 18:1b)

In the parable in Luke 18, Jesus Christ was emphasizing the need for continuous, persistent prayer based on faith. Prayer has to become a part of our daily lifestyle.

Prayer is also an opportunity to fellowship and commune with God. Your prayer life creates intimacy with God. During these times, you have the opportunity to pour out your heart to God and God also has the opportunity to reveal His plans and purposes to you. Prayer is a time when divinity meets with humanity for the fulfillment of divine purposes.

A thought to ponder

Prayer is an opportunity to fellowship and commune with God.

Prayer point

Let’s pray asking God for the zeal and the spirit of prayer to be effective intercessors.

God bless us all
