Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name.( Malachi 3:16 KJV)
Spiritual warfare is one of the key elements required for man to rule in the midst of his enemies and we saw this first hand in the garden of Eden when the enemy came to contend with the dominion God already gave to them but unfortunately, Adam lost that battle. Every time a believer begins to advance in the will of God, the opposition that most time comes is suggestive of the fact that there is battle and a contention in the realm of the spirit. When the Lord Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Spirit, the warfare was intense all throughout even after the forty days and forty nights but He prevailed over the enemy.
The maker of the heavens and the earth in His loving-kindness therefore put the remembrance clause that can be activated so that God can begin to contend with our enemies whenever the battle becomes too strong for us. Isa 43:26 says โPut me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justifiedโ. According to our bible text, there is a book of remembrance that is opened for them that fear Him and for them that thought upon His name.
Every genuine child of the God who is truly striving for the advancement of the kingdom are eligible to put the God in remembrance in whatever battle we are going through. He will then look down with mercy (Ps 25:7) and stretch forth His arm and contend with those contending with us. However, when presenting our case for Him to remember us, let us come to Him with His word and how He will not let the rod of the wicked rest upon the lot of the righteous (Ps 125:3) and He that remembered Daniel in the den of the lion will remember us and grant us victory.
Prayer point:
Letโs thank God for the word and answers to our prayers. Let us ask Him to remember us and the body of Christ in these dark times.
God bless you!
