And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy. (Nehemiah 13:22 KJV)

Almost every institution that exists; whether financial, governmental, academic, religious e.t.c keeps record of a variety of documents for the sole purpose of eternalizing memory and to be able to recall and remember the past. As it is on earth, so it is in heaven because God keeps a book of remembrance (Mal. 3:16) and documents the deeds and acts of the saints who fear Him and think upon His name.
We are allowed just like Nehemiah to call for remembrance by drawing on the mercies of God. This is the same clause that Rahab used when she asked the spies from among the Isrealites to swear unto her that they will remember and show her family kindness when destruction comes upon the land. She was remembered and her household was spared.

When we have stayed at a spot for too long or fought a battle for too long, it might be just the time to cry to God to remember you by His mercies. It is pride to keep quiet when God is willing to open the book of remembrance and show mercy in matters concerning us. Even if not for our sakes, God will remember the sacrifice of Christ on the cross to occasion mercies in our favour.

God visits His people when He remembers them (Exo. 3:7-8). The Almightiness of His majesty is made manifest when He visits a man. This is the reason why we need to continually cry to Him to remember us so we can enjoy mercy, deliverance, grace, and a deposit of the anointing that breaks every yoke.

Prayer point:
Let us thank Him for His word today. Father, please remember me by your mercy and make my ways prosperous in Jesus name.
