Title: Remember Your Creator

Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, before the difficult days come,

and the years draw near when you say, โ€œI have no pleasure in themโ€. (Ecclesiastes 12:1 NKJV)

One of the things I decided to do this year is to make time for regular exercise. I had not been exercising for years because I was always occupied with a lot of activities. A few months into my regular workout, I gained a lot of muscle. Our head Pastor also realized it and so he shared with me that he used to have a lot of muscles and hair in his youthful age. Truly speaking, it was hard to believe that this man with thin arms and a bald head used to have huge muscles and a lot of hair. Thatโ€™s when the above Scripture came to mind.

The truth is that there is time for everything on this earth; there is time to be young and time to be old, time to be born and time to die, etc. (Eccl 3). When you are young, you have a lot of strength and energy to do a lot of things. However, as you grow old, the strength reduces, and other health complications might even set in.

Therefore, now that we are young and strong is the time for us to use all the strength the Lord has given us to serve Him and do His Work (Mark 12:30). Now is the time to move from city to city and country to country to preach the Gospel and win souls for the Kingdom (Matt 28:18-20). Now that you have a lot of strength to work and earn income, is the time to give in support of the Gospel and to those who are in need. Letโ€™s love the Lord with all our heart and fully dedicate our lives to Him as living sacrifices (Rom 12:1-2).

It is very sad that most young people in the world are now occupied with a lot of pleasures of this world and therefore do not have time for the Lord and the work of God. Most of these young people are deceived by the evil one to think that they will be young forever. I have a relative who has grandchildren but has asked them to call her โ€œAuntieโ€ instead of โ€œGrandmaโ€ because she doesnโ€™t want to look old. However, it clearly shows on her face that she is growing old. You canโ€™t go against the word of God.

Beloved in the Lord, there is time for everything on this earth; there is time to be young and time to be old. Now that you are young and strong is the time to use all the strength the Lord has given you to serve Him and do His Work. This is because when you are old, you might not have enough strength to do so. Remember your Creator now!

Prayer Point:

Letโ€™s thank God for His Word today. Letโ€™s ask the Lord to help all young people in the world to dedicate their lives to Him and serve Him with all their strength.

God bless you all!
