These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. (Acts 17:11)

One of the channels of deliverance is knowledge; Being aware of your situation and diligently searching for the solution or way out through God from the unpleasant circumstance you have found yourself. Daniel became uncomfortable with the slavery they had subjected the children of Israel including him to in Babylon for many years. Fortunately, he was a man that goes in search of answers and in his search, he discovered in the prophetic writings of Jeremiah that they were only supposed to stay in the land for seventy years(Dan. 9:2). This truth was enough for him to start a prayer regime towards the deliverance of his people for twenty-one days (Dan. 10:12-14).

We must endeavour to read and study the scriptures ourselves and not lean on what others tell us about God and our situations. God loves to speak to us by His word. If you have never heard God before, I dare you to begin to read the bible intentionally with a desire to see the mind of God on the pages of the scriptures and you will hear Him speak to you expressly without any shadow of doubt in your heart. Communing and having relationship with the Father is made easy when we know His personality and His mind concerning different matters.

There is a word of God written concerning everyone of us in the Holy scriptures and we must diligently find it to navigate correctly the paths laid before us. Our Lord Jesus knew exactly what his word was and he read to the hearing of the people in the synagogue (Luke 4:18). When you find for yourself what is written concerning you through the help of the Holy Spirit, you will become unstoppable and no barrier will be able to limit your destiny.

Finally, when we search through the word, the Holy Ghost opens up our imagination and opens up the book for us to gain entrance into the riches and abundance embedded in the word of God so we may know and abide with Him intimately (Jn 15:7).

Prayer point:

Let us thank God for His word today. Letโ€™s pray for the help of the Holy Spirit to study and search the Word diligently.
