Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
Proverbs 18:21.
As believers, we have the power to speak life into our circumstances through the confession of God’s Word. Our words have the ability to shape our reality, and when we speak God’s Word, we are releasing His power and authority into our lives.
In Proverbs 18:21, we are reminded that the power of life and death is in the tongue. This means that our words have the ability to bring life, hope, and healing, or to bring death, despair, and destruction.
When we confess God’s Word, we are:
  • Declaring God’s truth. We are speaking God’s Word into our lives, declaring His truth and promises.
  • Releasing God’s power. We are releasing God’s power and authority into our circumstances.
  • Building our faith. We are building our faith and confidence in God’s Word and trust.
Because of this truth, we should ensure that all we say is in line with His Word. For many times, the devil would try to make us say words contrary to His truth, using unpleasant circumstances. As we persist in saying the right words, we will see the power of God manifest, bringing life to our circumstances.
Prayer Point:
Let’s ask God to help all believers to speak life into their circumstances through the confession of His Word. Let’s ask Him to help all to trust in His promises and to declare His truth into their lives.
