And the woman bare a son, and called his name Samson: and the child grew, and the Lord blessed him. [25] And the Spirit of the Lord began to move him at times in the camp of Dan between Zorah and Eshtaol. (Judges 13:24-25)

Spiritual growth and capacity is an attribute expected of every child of God but unfortunately, not everyone attains stature as they should. Our churches are filled today with believers who would rather prefer to pray congregational prayers than dedicate time for prayer in their closet. There are dimensions that we access when we decide to grow and increase in capacity with the help of the Holy ghost.

In our text, we see a young man who carries a divine deposit from God and he himself doesnโ€™t even know until he began having strange uncontrollable experiences of being moved by the Spirit in the camp of Dan. Whenever he is in danger, there is an activation that comes upon him and he begins to operate with the strength of immortals. In the testimony of David, he said โ€œFor by thee, I have run through a troop; and by my God, I have leaped over a wallโ€ย (Ps 18:29). This is practically impossible because he wasnโ€™t driving an armoured tank during the battles he fought but when the hand of God comes upon men, it makes them operate in the supernatural and grants victory in the battles of life.

Many are victims of the plunder of the enemy because of their weak human spirits and they have not properly plugged into the source of strength from the Holy ghost(Jude1:20). They are being oppressed in their sleep and even in their day-to-day lives and yet, they seem helpless as if the hand of God is so far away to help them. Activation of the spirit comes by prayer and when this happens, capacity is increased and we can stand to assault the adversary whether we are awake in our conscious state or while we lie unconscious in our sleep.

We are helped marvellously when our spirit man is charged up. In Isa. 59:19, we are made to know that it is the Spirit of the Lord that raises a standard against the enemy when he comes in like a flood and this can be manifest in different areas like strength, wisdom, power, utterances, blessings, etc. Every child of God is designed to be more than a conqueror (Rom. 8:37) and this is our heritage but requires that we are activated by the Spirit of God to enter into it.

Prayer point:
Letโ€™s thank God for the word today. Let us pray for the Spirit of God to activate us at all times for a continuous victorious life.
