We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts: what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for? [9] If she be a wall, we will build upon her a palace of silver: and if she be a door, we will inclose her with boards of cedar.( Song of Solomon 8:8-9 KJV)

The circumstances surrounding the birth of David was such that his brothers despised him being not a son of their mother (1 Chr. 2:15-16, 2 Sam. 17:25). So much so that as the last born of the house who was meant to be enjoying preferential treatment from everyone, he was rather sent to the back of the desert to look after the flock unprotected from the elements and the wild beasts. He had no seat on the table and this is one major reason why he wasnโ€™t invited to the spiritual ceremony organised by Samuel. However, God turned this disadvantage around by adorning David with spiritual gifts with wisdom(1 Sam. 16:18). This spiritual decoration became his new identity and it began to announce him by first coming into the Palace to play harp for Saul, becoming the kingโ€™s armour bearer and later killing Goliath and thereafter becoming king.

It is possible that you see situations around your life that puts you at a disadvantage and it a concern and it is affecting the decisions you make and you canโ€™t go forward. It might be a disability, the grade you graduated with, your upbringing, a great opportunity you lost in the past and regretted, your financial condition, your physical appearance and the list goes on and on.
However, there is a provision for adornment by the Spirit of God. In our opening scripture, the limitation for the young lady was no breasts but provisions were made for her that when her suitor looks upon her, what he will see is a palace of silver radiant decorated roundabout so much that the deficiency is no longer relevant in the scheme of things.

The King of glory has His storehouse full of treasures to adorn His children with but we must first look away from those situations and look unto Him to decorate us and take the shame away( Ps 34:5). If He decorates you with wisdom, you are already light years ahead of your peers because it erases the possibility of making foolish decisions. How much more if He imparts you with numerous assortment of spiritual gifts including financial blessings?

Prayer point:
Letโ€™s thank God for His word today. Father, decorate me with spiritual treasures today and cancel out everything that looks like a disadvantage in my life in Jesus name.
