Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. (Ephesians 6:13 KJV)

Territorial integrity matters a lot in every sphere of life. Whether it is one’s life, family domain, spiritual domain, career, etc. It is important not to give an inch of ground to the enemy. The devil and his agents are bullies, and they prey on believers with the spirit of fear, amongst other vices. Bullying naturally continues in any victim’s life until they stand up to challenge back. The day you choose to stand up and confront the enemy is the day you will realise that they actually have no power and they are acting illegally.

In our opening scripture, we see an admonition to stand after putting on the whole armour of God because this world is a battlefield, and we are constantly in a war with the forces of darkness. There are several parts of the armour for defence, which include the shield of faith. However, to stand your ground, you need the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God (Eph. 6:17).

We must not keep quiet for the enemy when he comes with threats and fearful situations. Our duty is to keep confessing the Word of God that the Lord has spoken or declared concerning us. This was what Jesus did to defeat the devil when he was tempted after his forty days of prayer and fasting. Our confessions and declarations of faith is a sword of the Spirit that brutalises the enemy into submission and grants us victory without losing any ground.

Let’s thank God for His word today. Let’s ask the Lord for boldness to be able to stand and declare His word in every situation for our all-around victory.
